There's also the rare moment when you catch Azumarill, Diggersby, or something on the switch and end up grabbing huge power, adaptability, scrappy, etc. Other than that, great teams and love the vids! If they don't like people who use CressBliss they shouldn't battle me :D :D Quote from Jwool » Finally, a great team without Flygon. It's also my only one sure Resttalk Slowbro counter. Leftovers gives it passive recovery. Ice Beam to take care of Salamence, Dragonite, Hippowdon etc.
Cloyster is really hard for me to deal with, so do you have any suggestions on how to counter it without Iron Defense? Whether you use it to learn competitive battling, to practice, or just use it for recreation, you are welcome to this community. Quote from DarkSpiral59 » Great team. Higher up on the ladder it probably wouldn't work so well because people would be able to play around it better, but up until the 1500s, it results in a lot of fun matches and interesting games! They can all pack super-effective moves though a Stone Edge from Heracross, Gyarados, or Lucario is the most threatening , but Zapdos will still survive at least one hit at full health and can Roost off the damage incurred. My favourite lead in the game. In Sableye's case, I moved faster than it and stole magic coat as it went for the wil-o-wisp, resulting it it burning itself it being virtually unable to touch me. Im a pretty good competitive pokemon player, as I've been playing competitively since Gen 5 the good old days.
Anyway, I'll look over the team some more and give it a proper rate. Just needs a little of adjustments~ - Blastiose would prefer Ice Beam over Iron Defense. She carries leftovers to heal her health, as there's not a lot of options for her to keep her health high that she has access to and uses Torrent over Rain Dish because 1. Although it is very fraile and prone to priority, its coverage makes it a threat to be reckoned with its high attack and a blazing speed stat that leaves a majority of the metagame in the dust. Cloyster is defeated by any special move. Suicune has access to amazing natural bulk backed by a solid defensive typing, making it one of the sturdiest walls in the tier.
Zapdos set is taken straight from Smogon. Motor Drive is great for switching into against Rotom and Jolteon, giving me a free speed boost for sweeping them with Wild Charge or Earthquake. Seismic Toss can be used over Toxic or Wish if it needs to damage opponents, but that's not its job. Suicune's defensive qualities are further augmented by Pressure, an ability that allows Suicune to outlast a lot of Pokemon that would otherwise wall it with ease, such as Blissey. Also a great physical wall. A Jolly nature is used to outrun Jolly scarf Excadrill after a boost.
Att -Moonlight -Ice Beam -Psychic -Thunder Wave My main physical wall. It's 3 Attack's Bullet Punch, X-Scissor and Brick Break , compliment each other greatly Typing-wise. Seismic Toss have proven to be a very reliable move on Blissey and no one can knock 100 Damage each time. Other than that, great teams and love the vids! Suicune's defensive qualities are further augmented by Pressure, an ability that allows Suicune to outlast a lot of Pokemon that would otherwise wall it with ease, such as Blissey. Max Special Attack gives it more damage output, And it has the respected move coverage to go with Calm Mind boosts. I advise using Ice Shard, as Priority will come rather helpful, even though super fast, I also advise using Icicle Crash instead of Ice Punch, Weavile gets it this gen. Only small problem is CressBliss makes most battlers hate you.
Relaxed is the perfect nature for a Mix-Pert, as it has both Physical and Special moves, and needs all the Sp. Even though I have Zapdos, I really don't like using Adamant because speed is important to me. Seismic toss is for doing damage slowly over time while Protect hurts the power points of Focus Blast and similar moves and lets Blissey heal without getting hurt. A Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its moveset. What about adding Gliscor in it. I chose Naive over Modest so it can outspeed all the really Fast Poke's Crobat, Aerodactyl, Skymin, Azelf, Alakazam etc.
As Iron Defense will serve nothing once you are facing an electric type, and it will be sad to switch after having +2, Ice beam on the other hand catches many pokemons off-guard. Def ev's or Calm Mind, Cresselia gets a very impressive 296 Sp. Life Orb boosts all damage output by 30%. Thus: A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish. I'd recommend it holding Leftovers, too.
Sleep Power is used when I think there's going to be a switch-out, especially when there's pokemon with a type advantage on my opponents team as well as for an attempt to get rid of stat changes by forcing a switch. Now, as a disclaimer so no one points this out, I am fully aware of the fact that some teams making use of the three Kanto starters are a bit gimmicky and don't tend to win a lot of battles or at least that's what I've been told. Also, I strongly recommend you be more helpful with your rates in the future. . With the Big Root he carries, he can do quite a bit of damage with Giga Drain and recover from the blows he received.
